Happy days, I have £3 EW on Arredondo for the GC too! At 150/1.

I think they're all upright.
Brambilla caught. Pity in a way as I have two OPQS.
Roche attacks!
Thinking I got way too excited about having 7 transfers to use
Seven transfers. Only Matthews and Bouhanni survived.
Felline

With the exception of Bouhanni, they can all stay for tomorrow too.
My mistake......Cunego was smoking a cigar so took him for Purito!!

Do you get double points for bringing J-Rod in twice?
Matthews 5th Impressive
That'll be Viviani and Swift going for the intermediate sprint and points jersey.
After 40km the lead of the break is up to 3:30.
1min 50
11 riders in the break- Elia Viviani (Cannondale), Ben Swift (Team Sky), Tyler Farrar and Fabian Wegmann (Garmin-Sharp), Miguel Angel Rubiano (Colombia), Tony Hurel and Bjorn Thurau (Europcar), Marco Frapporti (Androni Giocattoli), Yonathan Monsalve (Neri Sottoli), Kenny Dehaes and Tosh Van der Sande (Lotto-Belisol).
Swift says he is not up for today, waiting for stage 7.
I can't believe more haven't gone for Uran and Majka given they should be on the GC and GC/Youth points respectively at least after today.
There were a lot of options for today and being top of youth class will only get you 5 points- if Evans wins the stage and Uran comes third, Evans gets more points for example. I think a lot of people have gone with their gut today...
30 pen points
Evans
Jrod
Swift
Matthews
Nizzolo
Gasparotto
Gatto
Paolini
Tjallingii
Enrico Gasparotto (AST)
Enrico Battaglin (BAR)
Diego Ulissi (LAM)

Michael Matthews (OGE)
Carlos Julian Quintero (COL)
Simone Ponzi (NRI)
Ben Swift (SKY)
Francesco Chicchi (NRI)
Thought I'd be clever with the picks but it looks like that's what everyone has done!
Seems my Own man Cadel is going to kill me tonight GO SON
YEP. Knew it tho I did get ulissi...pfft...
Nice trade to Arredondo Joel. I reckon Chicci is a big show for LTR:)
Got team in with 1 minute paniced a bit.
had 3 trades used them all, sold Ferrari , Kittel , Fischer.....Bought in Ulissi, Tjallingii and my smokey typical way for me , OGE Weening:)
He really impressed me with his turn of foot when he towed Gerro at end of Classic. Showed me he is good to go again this year, had a decent ride here last year.
Ulissi
Tjallingii
Matthews
Bouhanni
Viviani
Weening
Swift
Nizzolo
Chicci kept him as I remember how the Italians love to get the Laterne Rouge at home... I think Gavazzi got it like 4 or 5 times last year...
I'll be gutted if Chicci scores today as I took an 11th hour penalty of 10 just now to get Arredondo in.
Actually I didn't do as Bad as I thought, can't believe I left Cadel out.
But Ulissi did the job, Mathews held on GC, weening must be in top 20 cause 2nd in GC.
Swift and vivi got some ok pts.
I think most got a few points, but I really got this stage wrong
Cmon Chicci, roll in last. He Nerver finished a Giro'...opps in my Purist. Out Lasted Kittel anyway .lol.
all the bookies were hedging their bets - they didn't seem to know if it was a sprint, one for the puncheurs or a GC day
like most people (i expect) i've got eggs in many baskets. hoping something comes good...
Evans
Uran
Matthews
Swift
Ferrari
Battaglin
Ponzi
Ulissi
Eijssen
Yep a weird one. My team for today includes 4 GC and 3 wildcards.
Enrico Battaglin (BAR)
Diego Ulissi (LAM)
Rigoberto Uran (OPQ)
Cadel Evans (BMC)
Maarten Tjallingii (BLK)
Enrico Gasparotto (AST)
Michael Matthews (OGE)
Rafal Majka (TSB)
Julian David Arredondo (TFR)
No more transfers hopefully until Friday.
Had 7 sprinters - used 5 transfers and kept Matthews and Swift, just in case. As credits aren't an issue, I might just keep them until after Friday now.
So today looks like this...
2 GC guys - J-Rod and Evans
2 puncheurs - Ulissi and Gasparotto
2 sprinters who might make top 10(???) - Matthews and Swift
3 for the break - Boem, Tjallingi and Fedi
Loads of others that were tempting, went for the ones I have a gut feeling on.
Similarly to Paolini and Battaglin's stages last year - these two days could see some big variations in the scores!
