Difficult to know which sprinters to go with given the weather forecast.
Quite a few are coming back from illness too. It might be a tactic to pick those who have already been ill, as they shouldn't get the flu again.
Wow....That SKY team...looking good.
Young Sosa and old man Bernal plus Narvaez chucked in for good measure.
Rowe & Kwiatowski will be busy looking after their lightweight team mates in the wind.
Depending on the weather anything can happen in this race, which is why it always one of the most interesting races.
Given the weather forecast for Sunday some of the GC riders could be literally blown out of contention.
Not looked that far forward yet. What’s it saying?
37kph wind from the West on Sunday afternoon, gusts of up 50kph.
It is forecast to be windy Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday too.
50% chance of snow on Turini on Thursday & Friday, so the mountain stage could be affected.
Looking like a great race ahead for us with “choices” to be made. Still a few teams to declare fully but already looks like that ITT and the big climb are the deciding factors. Can the strongest ITT guys gain enough on the climbers?...
I hope so I had a little flutter on one of them.
Which one?...All of Kelderman, Izagirre and Jungels look like they could have enough in their locker. Close call though.
Yates has improved his TT efforts though...well a little anyway.
