If Pettachi stays as the Giro points leader, but pulls out, would he still get fantasy points at the end of stage for being points leader?
If not, I might go for someone cheap like Swift.
Swift is a sprinter but quite a few thousand miles away, in California!
Is Ben Swift a sprinter. . . I think I will pick him. He's sprinting well.
ive kept pettachi for tomorrow
There is one exception to that at the moment in the Giro, As long as Pettachi stays in, he will be scoring points for leading the points for a few days anyways, that and with Scarponi looking to get the Pink, he will be there or there abouts
So if Scarponi happens to win a stage and Pettachi leads the points, thats 10 points straight off
in fact picking a greyed out rider can work to your advantage if you pick a really cheap one in a category for a stage where that type of rider is unlikely to score and invest the saving in more expensive riders in categories that are likely to earn you points, so dumping Cav and picking the cheapest sprinter you can find and investing the saving in some good climbers or all rounders for instance.
Not that I would do such a thing ho-no
have made the two transfers for tomorrows stages but think bozic has quit today so its greyed out. does that mean i wont score any points tomorrow due to only having 8 riders?
Dave, Since Bozic is still listed on your team, and his points are counted, your other riders can still score points tomorrow.
In theory, you could have a full team of greyed out riders. As long as you have 9 guys and are under budget, the team is technically valid.
I think a lot of people with sprinters on their teams will be in a similar situation, with one or more riders sure to leave the Giro as it hits the mountains.
Let me amend my statement: When I said his points are counted, I meant his *cost*. You can't score points with a greyed out rider, but they still count towards the team budget.
yeah its back again. thanks.
should be there now...
