Happy I got about 97, points Boonen 47, Degenkolb 28 and TJVG 22, probably finish better than 151st for the stage
71 points, meh.
122 for me I think
Wiggins 30
Levi 22
Boonen 48
Phinney 22
Kittel 0
Kruopis 0
Astarloza 0
Moreno 0
De Gregorio 0
Domestiques Bombing so far
Got Wiggins and Phinney, tried to work out my points, think its about 50 - 55.
1st,11th,12th,15th.....Still top 4 in GC so transfers less of a headache...Got to be happy as that was a freaky result...Some of the top guys just dont seem bothered in what is usually a prestige race....
Only 1 transfer for me saving one for later stages
got about 30 points man not happy!
Looks like that was an amazing stage - awesome to see Wiggins bossing it. I think I had him, Boonen, Phinney and Maes scoring, so probably above average. Rain and wind making this all very exciting so far!
Yup defo a funny stage, think im gonna stick by my previous plan though and make the 1 transfer for tomorrow that i intended to anyway and hope for some luck
I guess despite dropping nearly 700 places in this comp, i only dropped 6 in the overall to 35 which is a positive
I had Valverde,Haussler and Navarro in that group but then 6 riders crashed including Haussler and Navarro. A good day turned into a bad one.
Argh! Frustrating day!
I wanted Boonen in but it was too difficult to get him cos I already have 2 OPQ riders. Haussler might have done OK if he hadn't crashed so leaving him in for tomorrow but playing it safe with one GC points change, and one strong all rounder who could do well for a few days.
On the positive I moved above Gkam on the regional overall table!
I'm pretty disappointed with my day but mainly because choosing not to start with Wiggins has cost me a boatload of points and he was in my team until Saturday
From here on I have no idea what happens as those who I thought might try for a breakaway win or go on a flyer on the hilly stages are too close in time to Wiggins for Sky to let them get away. Valverde in particular will have a rough time getting out in front of the pack.
My tips for hilly stage wins over the next week are now Taaramae and De Gendt, both over 11mins down.
Snap, but i only had 2 scorers yesterday, so it might be the same again today, but as i said, i'm going pursuiting
It was a funny day. Things worked out better than expected for me as I didn't have many sprinters, except Boonen. Think I'll hop above you for a while. Not like those heady days in the TDU though!
Up to 28th overall. I was after the first stage so packed my team with TT riders but the rain damaged my score. Ended up scoring more points today than yesterday. Up to 65th in this comp so still in it. Going to build for the 5th stage now. I hope I can watch some of it as I think it will be good.
Nae wonder, Today i scored 35 to add to my 58 from yesterday, i think my changes have to be massive now
I'm thinking
Tony Martin for Levi Leipheimer
Samuel Dumoulin for Tom Boonen
Luis Leon Sanchez for Tejay van Garderen
Richie Porte for Lieuwe Westra
But i think LL Sanchez and Martin might do something over the next couple of days
I'm following these today . . . where's Kittel?
Marcel Kittel (1T4)
Tejay van Garderen (BMC)
Levi Leipheimer (OPQ)
Thomas de Gendt (VCD)
Richie Porte (SKY)
Jerome Coppel (SAU)
Jacopo Guarnieri (AST)
Leigh Howard (GRE)
Jose Ivan Gutierrez (MOV)
Defending Paris-Nice champion Tony Martin has also been trapped in one of the back echelons.
Km 130 - The 21 in the front lead the yellow jersey group by 1:40. Among the riders in the yellow jersey group feature Damiano Cunego and Sandy Casar.
Damn, Martin couldn't make the lead group. I was hoping for him to come through and give me a load of points after everyone dropping him
shudda picked Wiggo. He just won the sprint
Wiggo takes the sprint, thats a couple of points to me and puts him in Yellow, the only rider i have in the front group after making no changes, even though i was going to stick in Maes for the break
Looks like my plan to drop TJ Van Garderen is already falling to bits
Fingers crossed for a Phinney Boonen 1-2 and for TJVG to end up in a ditch!
Lead group of 21 riders 1:14 up. Lots of big names in it: Leipheimer, Wiggins, Valverde, Boonen. Chavenel, Thomas,Phinney, van Garderen et al
A crash took place in the leading group, holding six riders: Clarke, Niermann, Leukemans, Fischer, Haussler
Here is the composition of the leading group: Boonen, Chavanel, Leipheimer, Maes, Monfort, Wiggins, Thomas, Valverde, Rojas, Gavazzi, Kiserlovski, Westra, Ravard, Van Garderen, Jeanneteau, Klier, Vanmarcke, Maaskant, Phinney, Spilak, Vicioso.
At km 122, the 21 lead the second part of the peloton by 1:15
The yellow jersey group are 1:25 behind.
Only 60km to go, with all the big guys in the lead group, i cant see it being caught
Just checked and a nice round 0% of teams will be getting a breakaway bonus for Kaisen.
Re Martin I really can't see him doing anything in the race now, and he'll surely be leading out for Boonen today?
I'm hoping Martin has his sprinting legs on today as everyone seems to be dropping him, he's only 25 seconds down
Out:
Martin and Devenyns
In:
Kittel and Boonen
Team:
Wiggins
LLSanchez
Boonen
Kittel
Astarloxa
Porte
Phinney
Moreno
Izagirre
Probably take out Kittel and Phinney for Chavanel and A.N.Other Climber(Pauriol the favourite at the moment).
Anyone think Nick Nuyens might go well today ??
Well at least he wont fall off today...having not started...
