What i dont think was right though, Levi went down, needed a new bike, the Movistar hit the front and took up the pace to keep him out the back, very unsporting

If the motorbike hadn't been there, 5 Quickstep guys would have done one of these

1, All hammered into the Lampre rider who was on the deck and being shielded while he got medical attention

2, Quickstep would have tried to avoid him and gone flying off the corner, which i think they would have done without any hazards there

No actually the comment above mine is correct. The moto was protecting a Lampre guy who had crashed.

I'm listening in French so I might be wrong but I think the motorcyclist is there deliberately to stop them crashing worse.

That was a medic and the motor bike was protecting the Lampre guy on the ground, so not his fault, Quickstep didn't get told about it over the radio and did have their eyes open, that was avoidable, but not the motor bikes fault

35 for the win, 4 for 2nd in KOM, & all the points he's collected over the mountains and intermediate sprint today.

I could be wrong of course.

Km 182 - Levi Leipheimer (OPQ) is against caught in a crash, with France’s Pierrick Fedrigo among others. All the riders in the crash are back on their bikes.

De Gendt HAS won today, all on his own with 11.30 clear, Taaramae is some 1.45 behind him

Only 30km to the finish, So that'll be nice because i have the other two VCD riders who have showed something 4

De Gendt is 15' 44'' back. Don't think he'll win by that kind of margin. But they might stay out to win as they are good climbers, but it's 50k to the finish so it'll be hard later on. Depends if they have a head or tailwind maybe. Had De Gendt earlier on for 3/4 stages and was toying with the idea of him instead of Valverde for the ICTT, but I won't now.

This lead for Taaramae and DeGendt is getting a bit out of hand.....12minutes!!

And they'll work together too,Taaramae for the stage and DeGendt for GC

First its Burghardt pulling out - not that he has done anything - and now De Gendt in the break and i got rid of him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

knew i should have gone de gendt and not TJ was toying with which was best for the TT and chose TJ and Hivert for the break today, rather than go De Dendt and Porte 2

I suggest you go read the preview on inrng

The finish: flat and on the sea front, ideal for a sprint. The stage might have some big climbs and descents but it’ll be hard for the GC riders to get time on each other, especially since the final 2okm are on wider roads where an organised team can neutralise any rivals. Wiggins has a strong team ...

Sticking with Haussler and Boonen today, just had to clear enough budget for Levi & TJVG for tomorrow so picked up Simon for the sprint replacing Navarro who did nothing up to yesterday, go into the break and scored 0 in KOM or PC points..

Taaramae and De Gendt lead the main bunch by 2:40.

Finally, I get a rider in the break. Hallelujah! 4

Took out Pauriol(retired anyway) and Tejay for Boonen and Porte.....hoping for a bunch sprint with the finish more than 50km from the final peak and that Boonen makes up what I'm losing in guaranteed White Jersey points for Tejay.

Porte in case there's a breakaway that sticks......I'd fancy him to be in it to protect Wiggins, and for the final stage full stop.

Wiggins
Haussler
Boonen
Leipheimer
Veuchelen
Westra
Porte
Moreno
Spilak

DeGendt and Sanchez will probably come in for Boonen and Haussler tomorrow if all works to plan 4

Hutarivich (FDJ) et Kittel (PRO)already struggling. Europcar active in trying to get a breakaway so maybe Voeckler will have a go.
