PS Can anyone here beat that?
Oh dear. Gerrans scores my only points.
1 point for Gerrans 20th plus 10 points for Kiserlovski and Ponzi for being team mates with Gasparotto. Means 11 points in total.
Self-appointed favorites like Valverde, Rodriguez and Cunego were so bad. Shame that I put my money on them.
I had considered both Voeckler and Freire. Those are the only 2 that "might have been" in my team.
31 points... but considering I had Vanendert, Wegmann & Nocentini in my team at various points before today, it feels much worse.
Sagan, Moreno and Rojas were my star guys i left out, Glad i stuck with Gilbert though
Vanendert, Iglinsky and Devenyns are also names on my list of 26 riders i picked from
At least Gilbert and Mollema grabbed me some points, seems i might move up if others 0's and 1's are anything to go by
a very poor 12 for me
Nice one J-Rod!!!
Just Wegmann and Gerrans for me
took Vanendert out for cunego being the only change i made recently, so that one is frustrating. Especially considering Cunego looked like he would have top 10....@ arsene, youve got say Cunego was unlucky, on the shot it looked like got took out from behind, and as said looked good to at least top 10
Problem is going forward with the team I have
Had Vanendert (remembered his awesome work for Gilbert last year) but otherwise I would have done much better if the first 20 had been disqualified - looks like I'm in good company there:
20 Simon Gerrans (Aus) GreenEdge Cycling Team 0:00:19
21 Sergio Luis Henao Montoya (Col) Sky Procycling
22 Alejandro Valverde Belmonte (Spa) Movistar Team 0:00:22
23 Karsten Kroon (Ned) Team Saxo Bank
24 Joaquin Rodriguez Oliver (Spa) Katusha Team
25 Romain Bardet (Fra) AG2R La Mondiale 0:00:30
26 Giovanni Visconti (Ita) Movistar Team 0:00:36
27 Vasili Kiryienka (Blr) Movistar Team
28 Niki Terpstra (Ned) Omega Pharma-Quickstep
29 Robert Kiserlovski (Cro) Pro Team Astana
30 Alex Howes (USA) Garmin-Barracuda 0:00:47
31 Damiano Cunego (Ita) Lampre - ISD 0:00:51
32 Mikael Cherel (Fra) AG2R La Mondiale 0:01:05
33 Paul Martens (Ger) Rabobank Cycling Team
34 Chris Anker Sörensen (Den) Team Saxo Bank
35 Daniele Pietropolli (Ita) Lampre - ISD
36 Greg Van Avermaet (Bel) BMC Racing Team
37 Sylvain Chavanel (Fra) Omega Pharma-Quickstep
38 Johnny Hoogerland (Ned) Vacansoleil-DCM Pro Cycling Team 0:01:17
39 Gianni Meersman (Bel) Lotto Belisol Team
40 Thomas Lövkvist (Swe) Sky Procycling
Marco Bandiera is your last man home, yet again i fell unlucky with one of my riders just a place or two above him coming home
A whopping 6 points. 5 for Kiserlovski being in the same team as Gasparatto, 1 for Gerrans. Should have stuck with Sagan.
That's my lowest ever score! By a long way. Very difficult race to predict for sure. At least I have a nice bottle of Albariño and roast chicken for supper to console myself with.
Yep I think I've just to Zero!
Looks like disappointing results all round today.
I wonder how many people who signed up and picked a team at the start of the Tour Down Under and havnt logged on again since then will have scored more today than those of us in this thread who spent the last week researching riders and painstakingly building a team.
:p
any idea when Dave will update the scores?
Picked 7th and 20th places, and 3rd last guy, rats....
He was considered but I went with Martens at a similar price as had top 20's at all of the ardennes last year, and regularly has done at Amstel
I scored zero.
Don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Mind you, proves what I said in the preview - it's a very difficult race to predict
Masochist
Not sure - he may be in shock at having scored zero too, from what I gather.
that made me laugh....
I'm just interested to see how this is going to stir things up a bit. As for transfers, OMG....
Puts me 14 points closer in the Classics comp then
However I think I will have suffered a heavy fall from 12th when Dave has done the points
Philippe Gilbert (BMC)
Damiano Cunego (LAM)
Simon Gerrans (GRE)
Joaquin Rodriguez (KAT)
Pier Paolo De Negri (FAR)
Bert-Jan Lindeman (VCD)
Xavier Florencio (KAT)
Moreno Moser (LIQ)
Arnaud Gerard (FDJ)
Looks like I may be the only pick with Gilbert. Hoping he's inspired today and has been playing mind games otherwise it's mud on my face today.
Alejandro Valverde (MOV)
Peter Sagan (LIQ)
Joaquin Rodriguez (KAT)
Simon Gerrans (GRE)
Lieuwe Westra (VCD)
Arthur Vichot (FDJ)
Lers Petter Nordhaug (SKY)
