Heavy rain is forecast, and only 13°C. There is in fact a severe weather alert, with the chance of thunderstorms.
Could through a spanner in the works
Oh, any my team:
Cavendish (for Nibali)
Bouhanni (for Santambrogio)
Viviani (for Pozzovivo)
Nizzolo (for Pirazzi)
Gavazzi (for Betancur)
Evans
Di Luca
Battaglin
Chalapud
Effectively dropped a guaranteed 25 points (plus taken a 20 point penalty) so need my sprinters to really do well.
Hoping by having at least one more sprinter than everyone else I can make a move in the overall.
I have three rules when it comes to fantasy cycling:
1) Don't pick Matt Goss
2) Don't pick Tyler Farrar (I broke this one for the ToCali)
3) Don't worry, there's always someone making worse transfers than you
Fairplay, just read this properly laughed , the first two are definitely true
I've got Goss, lets hope he wins
Damn - severe weather alert - possible thunderstorms apparently...
Budget-wise for a lot of us, its got to be Cav or Goss - difficult to fit them both in and still have two other good sprinters. And in a choice between Cav and Goss, there's only one winner...
(We all know who's going to win the stage now...)
no one going for goss??
I guess it's comforting to hear I'm far from the only one who has been wasting a roster spot on Mezgec for much of this competition!
Brought in Cav & Viviani, and I'm going to go out on a limb and hope Ferrari finds some form in time for a bunch sprint today.
I ended up using all six of my transfers, so not planning on making any tomorrow, then 5 (one penalty) for Saturday. Best laid plans...

Just to make you giggle....When researching Le Bon, I went onto his wiki page and used google translate. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johan_Le_Bon
For the last couple of year's he's been "Champion of France against the clock hopes"
This is my full team for today. I also kept cuddles for the points
Mark Cavendish
Elia Viviani
Cadel Evans
Johan Le Bon (Girls on film....Girls on film..... )
Nacer Bouhanni
Enrico Battaglin
Luka Mezgec
Rafal Majka
Ivan Santaromita
As i'm so far behind i will post my team now and if anyone wants a few red arrows they can copy my team
Mark Cavendish
Elia Viviani
Stefano Pirazzi
Robinson Eduardo Chalapud
Nacer Bouhanni
Matthew Goss
Davide Appollonio
Mattia Gavazzi
Dmitriy Kozontchuk
My only concern is the 4th cat towards the end. If someone jumps off the front going up will the sprint teams be willing to chase it back down ????
hopes pinned on viviani/bouhanni/gavazzi/mezgec today
plus cuddles will mix it up and try and nab a few red jersey points with a bit of luck
i've had mezgec from day 1 too. about time he pulled his finger out, now that degenkolb's gone home he's got more reason to have a go
Brought in Cav and Viviani too and had Gavazzi anyway. All my other riders will pick up minor Jersey points so fingers crossed for a Full house badge
Had a piss poor Tour from stage 3 onwards but had green arrows yesterday which was nice
Gonna start saving Transfers as i've taken too many penalties for no gain.......
I've had Mezgec since the start and he's done FECK all for me.
I took in Cav, Viviani, Bouhanni and Battaglin for today, still have 5 transfers banked and that will be 7 once the couple of flat stages are over. So will still be hunting for a stage win to fill up my badges. Then work out where I can get a tour top 10.....
I had 6 transfers saved up and have used 5 - was also tempted by Mezgec but like the idea of keeping transfers for the weekend. Brought in Cav, Viviani, Gavazzi, Bouhanni and one other, and kept Evans rather than Nibali.
Giro has gone well this week, and Cali very badly, so I'm yoyo-ing up and down the overall table at the moment!
Avila is my wildcard. Cavendish and Viviani in, as the red jersey comp should be exciting today. Like that 'Tappa' has become the norm when posting, too.
Mezgec was the one rider I was most unsure about.
I have Chalapud from yesterday so that's 3 points guaranteed but I'm very tempted to bring in Mezgec. Problem is he'd need to score 13 points to make it worth it (plus 10 more tomorrow so it's worth the penalty to take him out) and I don't know if he'll manage it. 23 points in two days is effectively two top 10 finishes.
The upside to Mezgec is that tomorrow looks much harder than today and he could feature more so than the flat sprinters like Cavendish.
