HOY bikes competition - the shortlist

We've picked our 20 best images of Autumn cycling, and the winner, picked by Sir Chris himself, wins a unique HOY bike...

Well we've stroked our chins, talked about the rule of thirds and done that thing where you make a frame with your fingers – is that still a thing? – and here's our shortlist of 20 images of Autumn that have made it to the final reckoning.

That final reckoning will be done by Sir Chris Hoy himself, and the final lucky winner will be the receipient of a unique HOY bike, built by Sir Chris himself (Dave handed him an allen key at one point, he'd like to point out). It's one of a series of three special Autumn HOY bikes based on the £1,000 Sa Calobra .003, but with custom paint job and decals and finishing kit chosen by Chris. It's signed by him too, so it's a pretty special thing. And there can only be one winner, who will be announced next Friday, 25 October.

Here are our shortlisted users, in no particular order:

Well done to everyone that made it this far, and good luck in the last push! It's Sir Chris doing the final judging, but don't let that stop you loudly opining on which you think should win. After all, what else is the comments section for?

I am the super user. This is my site.

Would have been the Colnago until I noticed it was loaded with SRAM. Sacrilege.

Haha... Good point, it is currently being built up with Campy Record, will post photo later this weekend and the SRAM migrating to the CX bike. A work in progress...

She's nearly finished, Record groupo set up, SLR's on, just black saddle to source. Really pleased with result, rolls wonderfully on the new hoops!

I reckon its got to be either the one with the Haybales or the Colnago.

Reckon I could've given that a good go.

Thanks V much, the Colnago shot is mine, 7:30am once misty morning coming down Kirkstone Pass, Cumbria. It took my breath away, just had to stop and capture the moment.

gosh, some of those were awful really, no I didn't go in for it myself, and I'm not saying mine would have been any better, but there were some very average shots in there imo

Great... they could've given a time they were going to finish the competition... missed the entry now! Not the best way to run competitions!

Dear oh dear. I wish I'd entered now. Hate to think what the ones that didn't make the shortlist were like!
