I got given a pair of Bontrager Big Earl tyres and thought, "wow, these are huge! I'd need wide rims to fit these... which would go on a play bike... Cotic have just brought out the BFe, that looks nice..."
It's a slippery slope.
Bugger. I just paid good money to have a wheel custom built to those exact specifications.
So you swapped an unusual "might come in handy one day" item that manages to take up over 2 foot of space in the spare room, for a slightly less unusual "might come in handy one day" item that manages to take up over 2 foot of space in the spare room. Result!
