What's on your indoor training playlist?

Trance anthems? Dubstep? Folk music?

Mine's all drum and bass. It started when I was looking for stuff to get me through intervals, and that had a BPM that would match my cadence. stuff in the 85-95BPM range is often a bit chilled or dirgey. but double that and there's plenty of energy about.

Anyway, it started with Deathsport, because it's a) the perfect cadence for me; and b) exactly six minutes long, which was coincidentally the length of the particular interval I was struggling with at the time. And it sort of spiralled from there. I didn't really listen to much drum and bass before (except Roni Size; there's a bit of that in the mix) but I do now, especially for other mundane tasks. Painting, and sorting out Lego. That sort of thing.

As i am back on doing base miles at the moment I am back on Podcasts.

Although if you want something to work alongside a Tacx ride through some vineyards or sunflower filled fields, the Pete Tong orchestral covers of 90s dance bangers adds atmosphere. 1

I'm not set up for indoor training, but whilst "working" from home, here's an appropriately named funky sound track for an hour:

Nice! Reminds me to dig out my Ram Trilogy stuff...

I've been stuck on Chemical Brothers for s while because that's all that was on my stereo. The euphoric tunes like Sunshine Underground give you an amazing lift right about halfway through the GCN Sweetspot workout
