Ride 999 is back for 2016 – 9 counties, 9 days, 900 miles!

Day 7 – Switzerland
Day 8 – Austria
Day 9 – Italy
We’ll be leaving London on 28th May and flying back on 6th June.
Up to 30 riders will take on the challenge to cycle 900 miles and raise funds to support Get Connected helpline for the next year. We will support at least 250,000 children and young people who have nowhere else to turn.
•Participants will burn up to 8,333 calories a day – the equivalent to 32 mars bars!
•Each rider will spin their wheels at least 673,200 times!
•Each rider will spend an average of 5,400 minutes biking – enough to ride from London to Newcastle three times!

•Get a fully supported trip – all transport, food and accommodation is included, as well as medical support, route guidance and bike mechanical support. Pre-event team training rides and meet and greets will also be organised for you

•A personal contact to lead you through your Ride 999 journey who will provide fundraising, training and logistical support

When he finished the 2015 challenge, Andrew Doran said: “I didn’t expect to be overcome with emotion but I couldn’t help it. All of a sudden I now knew that I wouldn’t be getting up for another ride tomorrow with these amazing people… it had slipped through my fingers and was almost gone, just as soon as it seemed to get started, and it choked me up. It was one of the most amazing nine days of my life.”
White Van man was a Colchester City vehicle ! The loading bay 20m back was too far away.
