Cycle Derby Spring Classic Sportive
The Cycle Derby Spring Classic Sportive highlights the South Derbyshire/North Leicestershire countryside. Starting from Markeaton Park Craft Village, all riders will head out towards Kedleston Hall and Sutton on the Hill before splitting up to cover the distances of 40km, 80km and 160km. The Sportive takes place among mostly quiet country lanes and riders are guaranteed some fabulous scenery. There are feed stations with mechanics and first aid; the Event Village in Markeaton Park will be the place to go for hot food/drink and massage after the long day's ride.

in the UK we have policing which to a greater or lesser extent relies on assistance from members of the public......
So...don't cycle on it. Lots of other routes around that area. Source: I used to work there.
My photochromic specs have just turned up in the post today
Downhill Alpe d'Huez TT would be _awesome_. And someone should organise one for real!...
