The Eton Sprints Weekend takes place on 15-16 May 2021 with the Saturday kicking off with the Supersprint waves, in which the younger age groups will take to the start line to complete their event. After this the Sprint events begin to take place with the mates wave, perfect if you are in a different age bracket to your friend but wish to start together. These are followed by the younger age group Sprint waves. The following day, Sunday, kicks off with the ITU qualifying events which bring some of the fastest triathletes to Dorney Lake all with the same goal of qualifying to represent the Great Britain Age-Group Team at World Triathlon and Europe Triathlon Championships. You can expect to see some fantastic triathlon action on the Sunday morning! Going into the afternoon the remaining Sprint waves begin and the day ends with some additional Supersprint waves for all ages.
The Eton Sprints Weekend draws a great crowd (in normal circumstances) and participants can expect buoyant supporter atmosphere as well as fantastic venue which features clean, calm waters and a fast, flat, closed-road bike and run course. Additional features include a brilliant finisher's Medal, free Parking, electronic chip timing and results texted to your mobile as you cross the line.
There are two distances in which you can enter with plenty of separate waves for both SuperSprint Triathlon (400m, 21.2km Bike, 5km Run) and Sprint Triathlon: 750m Swim, 21.2km Bike, 5km Run. There if of course the Sprint Distance: ITU Sprint Distance International Championships Qualifier for those seasoned pros looking to represent their country.
