Welcome to the Manchester Mini Sportive organised by Team Torelli Cycling Club. We have got two great routes 30 mile and 60 miles designed by experienced local club riders. The event has been designed help you blow off the cobwebs after the winter break and ease you back into the new sportive season
Both routes are relatively flat with just a few bumps in them to keep it interesting Starting off once again at the Poynton Leisure Centre the riders will head off round the Cheshire plains. There are no big climbs, most of the route is relatively flat or are on undulating roads.
The weather in Cheshire is relatively mild compared to the rest of the North West at this time of year being protected by the Welsh hills in the West and the Pennine hills on the East.
We have all the usual features you would expect from a popular club sportive, Electronic Timing, High 5 Feeding Stations, Support Vehicles, Trade Stands, GPS Downloads, Route Cards, Well Signed Routes, Changing Rooms, Showers, Ample Free Parking on tarmac no muddy fields, Friendly Event Crew, Challenging Routes, Event Commentator, Free Refreshments.
Let's hope he doesn't read Road CC, the amount of articles they write putting a downer on him.
Only reading the headline on the homepage, not the rest of the article, but I only ride mountain bikes and I still get close passed...

Agreed, but he was still right to publicise the event. The police, if they're anything like Lancashire, will do nothing at all.
mdavidfrodo?
How can anybody reject the beauty of that? It's a wonderful mix of modern tech yet absolutely functional.
Not unless theVED is made eye wateringly expensive....
in the UK we have policing which to a greater or lesser extent relies on assistance from members of the public......
Just wanted to share a quick thank you to everyone who helped out in this thread....
So...don't cycle on it. Lots of other routes around that area. Source: I used to work there.
