Video: huge Ribble range overview from the Cycle Show

It's not just good value racing and training bikes. There's all kinds of bikes. even e-bikes!

New things are afoot at Ribble. We caught up with Andy Smallwood, the new CEO, and Jamie Burrow, the head of product, to talk about their new range which was launched at the Cycle Show.

If you've been around in cycling for a while you'll probably know Ribble as a good value brand for training and road racing bikes. And they're still that, but with a much extended range. Andy has come from Boardman Bikes, and has had just under a year at the helm, so this is his first range and there's certainly some interesting new stuff, developed with Jamie who has a long background in racing: he was the U23 World Cup winner in 1999, a result which landed him a place on Lance Armstrong's USPS team for the following season.

Anyway, the bikes they've come up with still look like really good value, but there's a wider range with some inclusions you maybe wouldn't expect to see. There's an e-bike, for a start, which Ribble claim is one of the lightest in the world in its £5,500 SRAM eTap build. There's an extended range of gravel bikes, too, a bikepacking bike, some sweet-looking commuters... lots of stuff. And it's all in the video up top, so feast your eyes. We've already received our first test bike from the new range, and there'll be more to come over the next few months.

Dave is a founding father of road.cc, having previously worked on Cycling Plus and What Mountain Bike magazines back in the day. He also writes about e-bikes for our sister publication ebiketips. He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

Ribble have upped their game. It's fantastic to see a British company moving forward.

Are they Jones loop bars on the adventure build (or a copy)?

I think the 725 road bikes look fantastic and would make a cool winter bike.

Well done Ribble, I will be getting one of them for sure (I was going for a Canyon, but would much rather support my fellow Brits).....which one though?

Some nice bikes there. Ribble have made some good changes recently - not least of which was updating their dinosaur website.
