This weekends Triathlon Cycling and Running Show at Sandown Park promises plenty to see and do for those interested in the cycling part of the deal.
A show wouldn't be a show without plenty of spangly bikes and bits to look at and their should be plenty on offer from the likes of Cervelo, Ceepo, Specialized, Viner, Fondriest, Focus, Red Bull and Blue. Those last two are new bikes to the UK, we saw Blue at the Cycle Show back in the autumn and they look to have an interesting range of road and tri bikes, the same goes for German brand Red Bull, we'll be bringing you more on them next week – their bikes are definitely worth checking out though.
There's a healthy smattering of equipment specialists too, USE lights, Spiuk helmets, Suunto HRM, check out the Rolf Prima wheels and of course there are loads of sports nutrition brands their including Alberto's favourite, SIS, and Lance's choice - ZipVit. You can also get measured up for a bike and have your position checked out too – always useful.
Other more active attractions include the Multipower Indoor Time Trial, where you can rack a time up over a virtual 5km course racing against other visitors to the show and some of the sport's top riders. The Wattbike Challenge offers a similar chance to slap down a time to see if you can match the likes of Sir Chris Hoy. There will also be a sports injury clinic offering amongst other things core stability training - always useful for a cyclist.
You don't have to confine yourself to looking at bikes either, on Sunday one of Evans's series of Ride It! sportives starts and finishes at the show, there's a mountain bike sportive tomorrow; and for the kids British Cycling will be running Go Ride practice sessions all day on Saturday with racing on Sunday for children aged between 8 and 16.
You can book show tickets in advance at www.tcrshow.com, or call the ticket hotline on 0845 680 6818. Adult tickets cost £9.00 if bought in advance and £12.00 on the door. Children under 16 go free when accompanied by an adult.

As a member of the Co-op community (I live in a Housing Co-op) and a bike owner /rider, this is very sad news. We need more Co-ops not less.

I agree with Pogacar regarding social media. The likes of Facebook, Instagram have done untold damage, especially to the minds of young people....

If you're a cyclist on a road you are public enemy number 1.
He advocates only riding mountainbikes solely offroad for ultimate safety, which is great if you're a millionaire of leisure living in Colorado...
That looks like a fun bike. Frame only, 2 and an 1/2 grand.
Fair enough, personal experience may trump (not that one) theory. However, the bonking I have experienced has been due to lack of carbs. Your point...
