Nairo Quintana to ride a white Canyon Ultimate CF SLX bike in the Tour de France today

Movistar prepare a special white bike to celebrate Nairo Quintana’s best young rider status

He may not have been able remove the yellow jersey from Chris Froome’s shoulders following a last ditch attack on Alpe d'Huez yesterday, but Colombian cyclist Nairo Quintana has clinched the white jersey of the best young cyclist at the 2015 Tour de France, which he also won in 2013. To celebrate, his Movistar team has prepared a special white bike for him to ride into Paris today. We're sure he'll be riding a yellow bike one of these days.

This morning, his Movistar team unveiled a special white custom painted Canyon Ultimate CF SLX for Quintana to ride on the final stage of the Tour today. It's based on the same Ultimate CF SLX bike that he has used for the entire race, but usual team paint job has been swapped for a predominantly white finish.

The white frame is complemented by a white Fizik saddle, pedals, bottle cages, bar tape and Campagnolo hoods, as the team equipment sponsors have got involved in the action. Otherwise the bike is the same as usual, so it's Campagnolo Bora Ultra wheels with Continental tyres, Power2Max power meter, Campagnolo Super Record EPS drivetrain and Canyon finishing kit.

He's a seasoned cyclist of all disciplines, from road to mountain biking, touring to cyclo-cross, he only wishes he had time to ride them all. He's mildly competitive, though he'll never admit it, and is a frequent road racer but is too lazy to do really well. He currently resides in the Cotswolds, and you can now find him over on his own YouTube channel David Arthur - Just Ride Bikes

Looks like no one much cares about Quintana's special bike, unlike a Rapha special jersey for Sky. If Movistar need to find a home for this bike I will take care of it.
