#mycyclingweekend - crashes and celebrities

Broken bike bits, broken faces + a whole load of adventure and some pro-cyclist snaps

For most of us, this weekend represented another reminder that the year doesn't end when autumn begins. The weather was fine, and the riding was finer.

But, for one or two of you, if you weren't falling off your bikes, bits of your bikes were.

Justin Berman and Sean Beckett were the masters of misfortune this #mycyclingweekend. Mr. Berman had a bike-on-bike collision which almost ended in complete catastrophe - if his run-down of the incident on Instagram is anything to go by - and Mr. Beckett had to take the easy route home when his smaller cog failed him.

While we can't sort Sean out with a new cog, we might be able to help him with fixing his new one on when it arrives with the help of the #mycyclingweekend winner's BTwin 300 Multi Tool courtesy of Decathlon. Send your adress to elliot [at] road.cc Sean, and we'll get the mutli tool to you post haste.

Away from crashes and cycling misfortune, you lot had a stellar weekend off riding, both here in the UK and abroad.

From the autumnal streets of Bristol where Andrew Parsons got this fantastic shot of his bike in an archway, to the seafront in Abu Dhabi, and the mountain tops of Kyūshū, Japan, you lot had a great time.

Elsewhere, if you weren't out grabbing a couple of family or work-free moments on your bike like Neil Moss, you were probably out watching cycling, or even meeting the pros, like Twitter user Jaunce, who introduced his son to Mark Cavendish this weekend. A day to remember, eh?

If you didn't upload a photo this weekend, but went out for a ride and took some great shots, it's not too late to get involved!

Simply send your snap to road.cc on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter by uploading your photo and putting the #mycyclingweekend hashtag into the caption box.

We'll leave you with another of our favourite shots of the weekend from Instagram user nevereverpressrewind who had a run-in of the bovine variety as he made his way through the Ardennes.

Saturday's visit to the Al Ain stage of the Abu Dhabi Tour re-affirmed another reason why I love cycling... It's so accessible

My 15 minutes of fame! It looked a lot worse than it actually is. Just feeling a bit sore now and bike appears to be OK...
