Sportive riders set to be out of pocket after Kilo To Go ceases trading

Sportive organisers Kilo To Go have ceased trading. All of the firm’s events have therefore been cancelled. A letter will be sent to all riders who booked places, but under current insolvency legislation they will not be entitled to a refund from the firm.

GST Team Limited, trading as Kilo To Go, ceased trading on April 12. Its cancelled events are as follows:

• Cornwall Tor, Sun May 1
• Tour of the Peak, Sun May 15
• Motion in Mercia, Sun May 29
• Cheshire Cat, Sun June 19
• Flatout in the Fens, Sun July 3
• Shropshire Mynd, Sun September 18
• The Rut, Sun October 2

A message on the firm’s website suggests that those who have paid by credit card get in touch with their provider to see if they will consider a claim for a refund. “In all other instances where a rider has paid a fee other than by credit card or cannot claim a refund from a credit card provider, the rider will have an unsecured claim against GST Team Limited for the fee paid.  Further details on how to make a claim will be in the letter to be sent.”

Operating on behalf of the firm, Insolvency Practitioners Direct have asked that any communication with Kilo To Go be by email or written correspondence due to the large number of people affected.
