Stop Killing Cyclists are planning a vigil on Monday evening.

Rip.
I test drive a new Prius recently. It has sensors to activate the brakes if you're going to hit something or someone. It's a £20k car. The sensors and tech surely can't be much more than 10-15% of that sum. Shocked that such systems aren't mandatory on these limited visibility vehicles.
My 2015 Skoda Fabia has that and, while I went for one of the upper models, that feature is present all the way down to the base models at ~£11-12k new. I agree they should be mandatory on limited visibility vehilces - in fact I'd go further to say they should be on all new vehicles, if they can economically be put on a car retailing for that amount there's surely no argument for not doing it.

@Robinson_IP indeed. Although they're saying it's just a collision.
It's ok people, it was just a collision.
It's a busy junction and not a well designed one at that.
RIP
Truck. Junction. The miserable story which keeps repeating itself.
Tragic waste of a life.
That sinking feeling when the broken bike image appears on the front page of road.cc
Another life needlesly snuffed out. RIP.
A friend saw this happen..... don't really want to say any more.
Poor lass and her family
RIP.
