Vigilantism is going to start happening, plod aren't interested in doing anything meaningful if at all and people are just going to take the law into their own hands more and more to seek revenge/justice.
The police and government are institutionally racist to such an extent people are being killed and maimed without any redress whatsoever. And yes, racism does fit the description, perfectly in fact.
"prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior"
finally another use for all those tight black outfits - just add a pair of colourful y-fronts and a cape and we're good to go
Surely you couldn't be suggesting that all Vauxhall Astra have their tyres slashed at 2am? Zorro strikes again!
we could get a bit more creative with our superhero names - the Silver Spanner, Chain-whip, the Aero Avenger, Captain Spandex, the Lycra Lad - you get the idea.
Apart from the 'race' bit, unless you want to define it as the other 'race' and pretend we're all taking part in an unannounced Tour or crit.
Surely it's some sort of hate crime in and of itself. Hate crimes extend to religion, sexuality, Goths etc... Why not people getting shit for just being on a bike?
When will muppets realise its not a Tom and Jerry world and such stupid incidents have consequences which can be very real
Seeing vids like these make me think that a helmet camera is a sound investment (for police, insurance claim).
Hope the cyclist's ok
"Sorry we can't prosecute as we can't find the victim of the crime therefore it's not clear an actual crime ever took place"
wonder what kind of monsters raised this asshole. you britons need to do something about that.
Yes, because only bad things happen in Britain......
Good point. I'll bring it up at our next weekly meeting of all the Britons.
Remember, about 40% of the population of London was born outside the UK. So if Londoners are assholes (tsk, please, it's 'arsehole'!), it's not just the British who are to blame!
Cunts! I hope the car driver and passenger both have to pass a hedgehog the next time they need a shit...
Also they get found, charged and dealt with properly.
meh...fck all will happen
We dont know if this wasn't investigated at the time, so you are getting annoyed over something you know nothing about!
At the end of the day the only way this video will help an investigation is if they had been given the car index and the victim has actually reported it.
This just goes to show always report these things even if you cant give much detail as you never know what might come out in the future.
how do you know what investigation has already taken place? Did the cyclist report it? Has the driver/passenger already been dealt with? Is it possible to identify them?
This is a horrible thing to happen to anyone and I hope the rider is OK but at the end of the day just like any crime if the suspect can't be identified then nothing will happen and it makes no difference if the victim is a pedestrian, cyclist or driver.
Any other instance of assault would be investigated pretty damn sharpish.
Well that's what the investigation would be for, delaying it doesn't help.
Such a disgrace, considering the rabid manhunt after the jogger that pushed the ped. Typical double standards whenever a cyclist is a victim.
Rabid as in it happened several months before the appeal went public?
Utterly disgusting if they'd hit the bus stop differently this could quite easily have been a murder hunt. Slapped wrists all round no doubt.
Good to know that the Met's Cycle Safety Team appears to be one person, who is on holiday until Monday.
When he returns he will undoubtedly have to spend a few weeks recruiting additional colleagues to seek cyclists without front brakes.
He may have to deal with the more urgent matter of cyclists using the Cat's Back Bridge in Wandsworth Common...[sigh].
