Ed Sheeran says he "cycled to the pub" after bike crash that left him with broken bones

Singer-songwriter broke bones in both arms and fractured rib, forcing him to cancel tour dates

Ed Sheeran has revealed that he cycled to the pub after the bike crash earlier this week in which he broke bones in both his arms and fractured a rib.

Speaking on the Jonathan Ross show to be screened tomorrow evening on ITV, the singer-songwriter said that he only realised how serious his injuries were the following morning.

The 26-year-old chart-topper also confirmed that the crash happened as he rode down a steep hill in Suffolk, where he lives, and not in London as had originally been reported.

His injuries have forced him to cancel several dates on his forthcoming tour of Asia.

According to the Ipswich Star, Sheeran said: “I was in Suffolk. The thing is, when it happened, I got up and was like, ‘That hurt’ and then cycled to the pub.

“Went home, went to sleep and then woke up at five o’clock in the morning in a lot of pain.

“And then went to the hospital.

“I don’t think I’m going to cycle for a while. I’ve got quite a big tour next year.

“I’m quite a clumsy guy anyway,” he continued.

“I remember before a show in 2013 I had to have 12 stitches in my hand because I was playing drums with two beer bottles at about four o’clock in the morning and smashed my hand.

“But I did a show after that and, it wasn’t fine, but I did a show.

“Then I put my foot in a boiling geyser in Iceland, I had my face cut open, I’m a very clumsy person,” he added.

he went to school in Fram, it doesnt mean he spends all his time in Suffolk there, there arent any "steep hills" around Framlingham that I know of,that part of Suffolk is pretty flat even by Suffolk standards.

I’m wondering what hill he went down in Suffolk near Framlingham?

I mean, there are some slight hills in Fram, but nothing dangerous!
