Chuck him in a windowless cell with one light bulb hooked up to a bike, no wheels... just a dynamo.

And a cyclist punching him in the face when he dips under 40k an hour - There's training incentive right there.

Actually, punchy made it into Cycling Weekly on Thursday.

This is what I bought as a result of the incident, and was advised to get a spare battery and a 16Gb card

Either the owner of the car is prosecuted for perverting the course of justice, or the thug is done for car theft as well.

Good news. Stocks? Where's the rehabilitation in that? Give him a decent road bike and make him ride 100 miles nonstop with a gilet saying 'Beep if you hate cyclists' on the back. That'll earn his respect.

Dartford born..? Sounds too refined for him to me. Sure he's not from Chatham? (I refer you to previous joke threads...) : )

I'm sorry, but watch the video again, does that look like a guy who would be doing delicate jobs on horses?

Well, it goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover. 'There's nothing as funny as folk' as they say.

The police are hopeless in these cases.

I was purposefully and maliciously driven into whilst cycling, and knocked onto the pavement (thankfully not under the car) in a similar incident at the end of last year. The driver proceeded to get out and verbally abuse me as I lay on the ground before driving away. There were two independent witnesses, and the incident as well as the registration number of the offender's car (RO08 XYT) were reported to the police within 15 minutes but they still did nothing. Glad to hear there might be one less ignorant idiot on the roads as a result of this guy's efforts. I'm tempted to get a helmet camera...

Also, i'm not sure about it being him because he's about half the size in the photo compared to the video

Maybe someone should give him a ring, as if he undertakes any other jobs, i thought Farriers were a bit like blacksmiths? see if he wants to start repairing some bike frames that other thugish drivers have done damage to 19

But Ridgeback, John has high scores in his A levels in Law, History and Maths, AND he has Dip WCF after his name, see? His inability to spell is obviously not his fault, it's society's.

You could be right on that score. It'd be a good defence in court I reckon. "It's not my fault, it's society's."

I did note he didn't claim an A level in English.

Glad to see the thug will be called to account. Community service order with a bike recycling project?

He should sort out some of the spelling on his website. It makes him look unprofeshionnell!

Given the incident that happened and some of the comments about him, the photo with him holding a tissue might be best changed as well.

The inability to spell or punctuate correctly on the website says it all. Have a look and have a laugh at the illiterate moron.

Brilliant news. Hopefully this scum will be punished properly. But likely to get a fine and told not to do it again. Until the next time. What a Moron

Sure taking a vehicle without an owners consent is a charge that should be bought against him?

If not the car owner should be up for perverting the course of justice.

I think it depends on how the police questioned the owner, ie. did they show the owner a picture of the theif. If the owner just said he didnt know where the car was and it turns out the acused IS insured to drive that car (either on the cars policy or under his own insurance policy) then there is no case, unless they did show the owner a picture and it can be proved he lied about knowing the acused.

Cracking news !

Instead of Common Assault they should go for Affray - Sect 3 Public Order Act (using unlawful violence in a public place) it would command a higher sentence in court than a common assault (well, in the North it does).

Testosterone-fuelled halfwit. If he's been abusing steroids for long enough, his noodly appendage will be atrophied with any luck and he won't be reproducing any time soon.

A day in the stocks is a great idea. Bare arsed and used as a feckin bike rack for the day ought to do it.

Lol, but problem with a TDA is he "took the car back" to where he "stole" it from 26 19

@PaulM
Give him credit? You must be joking. The only thing he should be given is a day in the stocks on Bexley common.

@Gkam84
Given Nicholls' behaviour and character, old school Touching the Dog's Arse is more appropriate than TWOC... 4

Second the congratulations to road.cc for championing this story.

Good point Tony, i forgot about that, The owner said that the car must have been stolen, so either the owner will HAVE to be charged for the lies or the driver for TWOC

I do hope he changes his mobile number aswell, cause i little google search shows his FULL name and phone number
