Very sad. Condolences to the family.
Simply driving a motor vehicle in South Korea is dangerous. I lived 15 months in Korea; if you visit Seoul, don't ride bikes...you need to take the train. The traffic laws are rarely enforced and rush hour is like a rat race! Fast and aggressive drivers jockey for position during rush hour. The painted lines on the road have little effect on the flow of traffic. The Koreans create lanes: if a road can has four lanes but 6 cars can fit, they'll squeeze in seven. It is a wonderful and amazing culture and people with greater potential in the future, but it's rush rush rush during the high traffic periods... they need to chill, listen to some music and stop tearing each other's sideview mirrors off their vehicles--yes, they drive that close to each other or side-swipping street signs.
"Police are reportedly investigating what caused the incident."
wtf?!!!
Downhill stretch and burnt out brakes maybe?
You cant just say 'WTF?!!!' when you dont know any facts about the case.
Christ. What can you say? Sympathy to the families.
