Really old news... And not that expensive. At least the 9 gram one (which I have used for a couple of years). Was something like 25 euros with a bottle and alu bolts. My friends use theirs on MTBs. The downside is that the tapered bottles can be a bit hard to take out at times.
Those have been around for *years*! Any Weight Weenie will tell you they're fine (and I'm sure the 'heavy' one is), but I'll stick with my 'overweight' Arundel Mandibles, thanks all the same...
Bottles in jersey pockets FTW!
I can never help but feel these are one of the most pointless items you can buy. What's the point of saving 15g on something that's used to cart around 1.5kg of water?
Leave a single shot's worth of water out of one of your bottles and you'll save more!
(or, if you are building a real weight-weenie bike, just leave the cages off all together)
Would spend most of your ride picking your bottle off the floor after it fell out the bottom!
How much?
