This jersey is made from a variety of synthetic fabrics, the main one being a very stretchy polyamide/elastane (190g/m2). The surface is covered with shallow indentations that are just about see-through when you hold the jersey up to the light, allowing air in and out easily as you cycle.
The armpits and the underside of the arms are made from a polyester/elastane/carbon that's even lighter (180g/m2) with a more open weave. This fabric is designed 'to give antibacterial, deodorising and moisture wicking functions'.
The result is a jersey that feels very breathable in use. You can feel a lot of air coming right through as you ride, and sweat is wicked away pretty well. The fabrics don't get especially heavy with moisture and they dry out reasonably fast.
The Winso is made to what Monton calls its Pro Fit which is slim throughout. There's no excess anywhere. That won't lead to discomfort for most people, though, because everything is very stretchy in all directions.
The front zip comes with a large puller that's easy to grab on the go, and a zip garage up top avoids any neck irritation.
I found the sleeves plenty long enough to keep my wrists covered, while silicone print helps hold the elasticated waistband in place.
You get three open pockets in the lower back that are deep enough to take all the usual ride essentials, and there's a fourth zipped pocket, the side closest to your body being water resistant to help stop sweat soaking in. That pocket measures about 120 x 145mm so it'll take most mobile phones. The anchor points of those rear pockets are reinforced so there's no real danger of damage to the jersey if you carry a lot in them.
The Winso was priced at £115 but it has now been reduced to £73. Compared to other long sleeve jerseys that we've reviewed here on road.cc, that's a good price.
Overall, this is a good summer-weight long-sleeve jersey that puts in a solid performance.

Rate the product for performance:
7/10
I wouldn't say that it's a standout performance, but it's solid.
Rate the product for durability:

I found it quite easy to mark the surface of the fabric. I used the Winso for commuting to the office on one occasion, for example, and the waist strap of my backpack caused a little rubbing. Maybe that's not typical use. You also have to be quite careful if you use mitts with a Velcro closure, for instance.
Rate the product for fit:
7/10
Monton describes it as a "Pro fit". Essentially, it's very slim but the stretchy nature of the fabrics means that the Winso will comfortably accommodate a range of builds.
Rate the product for sizing:
7/10
Monton offers two size charts, one giving various dimensions of the jersey, the other giving recommended sizes for particular heights and weights of riders. I used the first of these and it was accurate.
Rate the product for weight:
8/10
The fabrics are lightweight and breathable and don't get too heavy with moisture.
Rate the product for comfort:
7/10
The stretchiness makes for a very high level of comfort. There are fabrics out there that put in a higher level of technical performance, but these do a good job.

How easy is the product to care for? How did it respond to being washed?
It goes in the machine at 30°C with all the rest of your 'orrible sweaty kit and it comes out fine.

A 7 in the road.cc world equals 'good' and I reckon this is a very clear 7. I wouldn't say it's an outstanding jersey but it puts in a good performance. At full rrp it's expensive, but it's currently discounted and good (almost very good) value.
