Arriving at road.cc in 2017 via 220 Triathlon Magazine, Jack dipped his toe in most jobs on the site and over at eBikeTips before being named the new editor of road.cc in 2020, much to his surprise. His cycling life began during his students days, when he cobbled together a few hundred quid off the back of a hard winter selling hats (long story) and bought his first road bike - a Trek 1.1 that was quickly relegated to winter steed, before it was sadly pinched a few years later. Creatively replacing it with a Trek 1.2, Jack mostly rides this bike around local cycle paths nowadays, but when he wants to get the racer out and be competitive his preferred events are time trials, sportives, triathlons and pogo sticking - the latter being another long story.

And how close does the driver need to be to see that? Also when they overtake at speed do you think they'll have a chance to read that? I'd sooner the drivers concentrated on passing safely without trying to read whats on my back. It's well known if you look towards something you will head towards it, same as when cornering, you look where you want to go, not at what you're trying to avoid...
I think there'd be a market for something like Gilets with arrows and 1.5M safe passing distance.
Drivers just don't seem to know and at least this way they couldn't say they weren't told...
I think one with a large camera icon on the back would be more effective...
Would prefer one in blue and white with a very small “be” and a very large “Polite”.
There is

Does the UK version have the arrow reversed? If not, it's really not helpful for us...
