Chpt3 has launched what it’s calling an ‘everyday performance’ clothing collection that’s inspired by its home city of Girona in Catalonia, Spain.
Girona has become a huge cycling hub over the past few years and is home to over 100 professional racers. road.cc was there for a bike launch a few weeks ago and we can tell you that it’s a place with a strong cycling culture.
“This is an incredibly exciting release for Chpt3, welcoming in a third tier to our product range, designed for everyday riding whilst providing industry leading performance,” says Chpt3 founder David Millar. “Girona is where we live, where we work and where we ride, so it made total sense to honour the city which has given us so much with this collection.”
The graphics are based on the city’s Eiffel bridge which connects the old town, where Chpt3’s studio is based, to the new side of the city.
“Its lattice structure casting shadows on the red, wrought iron have been interpreted in Chpt3’s inimitable style, forming two distinct jersey designs,” says the brand.
“Thanks to the longstanding partnership with Castelli, innovative material technology has been taken advantage of. The fabric used for the jersey is the same as used by Castelli’s Maglia Rosa, chosen for its race weight, aerodynamic and high wicking abilities, whilst the newly updated, dual-density Castelli KISS chamois has been selected for its excellent comfort in the Girona bib shorts – the first black shorts to come from Chpt3."
