The Brecon Beacons are just made for riding and we’re determined to make the most of the natural landscape with this awesome hill-fest of a ride. Starting from the popular Parc Bryn Bach you head out over the bleak tops before plunging down a fantastic 6 mile descent!! The long loop heads off here to ride a long, gradual incline past Crickhowell before yet another 6 mile drop. Obviously all this talk of descents fudges the fact that there is quite a lot of climbing and a little sting in the tail. After the last drink station you pass the beautiful Talybont Reservior before climbing out the back of the valley on a 20% hill. Look out for the cattle grid as this signals the top and most of the uphill!
Did I get this right? The cycle lane is anti business because it only serves (checks notes) business (ie delivery) users.
Just think of the weight savings you could achieve there though, because they usually have outers for the whole run!...
