Cycle 4 Cynthia - 9am, Sunday 25th September at Holdenby House, Northampton
Northamptonshire's favourite annual fundraising bike ride has a new venue this year - Holdenby House (just north of Northampton) - once the largest private home in England!
Set against the backdrop of the still-impressive Elizabethan property, riders of all ages and abilities will have the opportunity to cycle 5, 25 or 50 miles around the glorious west- and north-Northamptonshire countryside.
The event is a key fundraiser for Northampton's Cynthia Spencer Hospice and last year, 1100 riders helped raise a record £76,000 - a target which the organisers hope can be beaten this year!
For entry details please visit www.cycle4cynthia.com or call the hospice on 01604 678088 while you can also follow the latest news from the ride on Facebook
And streets and houses - just look at how many roads are named Oak something, or 'meadow' where all you can see are bricks, concrete and tarmac....

TRP cable-actuated hydraulic calipers, haven't tried them myself but reviews generally rate them as better than cable-only brakes such as Sora. I...
And we can be sure that Police Scotland would be similarly disinterested...
They should read scampercraft and not exaggerate the danger of scuttling along. I discourage squirrel predation by acting like one.
You can get the Varia for £10 less from Decathlon.
