road.cc Recommends, our special place for the best cycling products that we’ve reviewed over the past month, has been updated with 6 new products from Canyon, Thule, MiRiDER, Garmin and Fara.
While that might not seem like many products, it simply shows that we want road.cc Recommends to be reserved for the absolute best of what we have reviewed in the past month. If it doesn’t make the grade, it doesn’t get in.
So before we go any further, let’s see what has made it this month:
Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 8 Di2 - £6,499
Thule Easyfold XT 3 - £850
MiRiDER One GB3 - £2,494
Canyon Commuter 5 - £1,149
Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar - £549.99
Fara F/AR - £4,644
The Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar is an extremely powerful multi-sport smartwatch with huge scope for customisation. The health data is presented in a much more user-friendly format than previously and you get the solar power feature, though how beneficial this is will depend on the weather.
The Fara F/AR, which stands for all-road, is an absolute cracker. It feels like a race bike on the road, but can transfer that performance to hardpacked tracks and trails through its ability to swallow 38mm tyres. The ride quality is awesome, as is the handling, and for a bike shod with rubber that big, and a fully electronic groupset, it is impressively light too.
The Thule Easyfold XT 3 is a beefy towbar-mounted rack that will easily lug around three of your bike collection. It's very well-engineered and easy to use, so if you have the cash, it’s one to consider.
Besides the products, we go off to Northern Ireland to check in with road.cc’s very own Ryan Mallon. He shows us a lovely ride in his local area, along with one of the best cafes around.
We also walk you through the decisions you’d have to make when purchasing a bike carrier for your car. There are several options, so it can be a very tricky decision to make.
And then it’s time to reveal our product of the month. But you’ll have to watch the show to find out what we gave it to.

Not exactly budget friendly
.
Agreed. £16 grand's worth of 'brilliant' items - I'm just popping out to get them.

See you at the shops, I’ll get the watch so I am not late home. Pick up the rack to put the 3 bikes on then save two and a half grand as I don’t know what a mirider 1 gb3 is.
