I was but I never seem to fair well at the one day races
Usually a few people commenting live though!! Very quiet!
Contador on the attack!!
The race has kicked off but it's unclear what's going to happen. Don't think any breaks are going to stay away for long.
Anyone online watching?
First classic I've seen live for a while but daughter's football match was cancelled today as the other team couldn't produce one!!
I guess everyone is. Probably why it's so quiet in here
OK, so here's my lot:
Valverde
Gilbert
Henao
Gerrans
G. Caruso
Nibali
Didier
Quintana
Betancur
Definitely going to be a lot of similar-looking scores come this evening.
So very similar looking teams
Alejandro Valverde
Philippe Gilbert
Daniel Martin
Daniel Moreno
Sergio Luis Henao
Simon Gerrans
Bart de Clercq
Pieter Weening
Carlos Alberto Betancur
If J-Rod,Rolland and Sammy Sanchez could conjure a 1-2-3 I'd finallyt rescue something from the Spring Classics
Gone with
Daniel Martin (GRM)
Philippe Gilbert (BMC)
Roman Kreuziger (SAX)
Simon Gerrans (GRE)
Maxim Iglinsky (AST)
Carlos Alberto Betancur (ALM)
Christian Meier (GRE)
Giampaolo Caruso (KAT)
Alejandro Valverde (MOV)
There are 6 riders with a lead of over 8 minutes:
Sander Armee (Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise), Bart De Clercq (Lotto), Vincent Jérôme (Europcar), Pirmin Lang (IAM Cycling), Frederik Veucheulen (Vacansoleil) and Jonathan Fumeaux (IAM Cycling)
I decided to stick....
Valverde, Gilbert, Mollema, Martin, Kwiatkowski, Henao, Cattaneo, Betancur, Weening
Purist: J-Rod, Martin, Mollema, Gilbert, Ulissi, Iglinsky, Betancur, Weening, De Clerq
It seems a Mollema, Valverde, Kwiatkowski 1-2-3 would be the best for me
Got two full teams. Purist is
Henao, Martin, Caruso, Gilbert, Hesjedal, Vanendert, Gerrans, Betancur and Schleck
Standard is
Henao, Martin, Valverde, Gilbert, Nibali, Kwiatkowski, Weening, Betancur and Lutsenko
Gambling time...
Moreno
Froome
Gilbert
Gerrans
Martin
Mollema
Weening
Betancur
Vogondy
Gilbert
Betancur
iglinsky
kwiatowski
Valverde
vanendert
trovimov
ulissi
moser
not too confident today. Just want 100 points to break 7000
Same top 5 as you stevespro, plus some wildcards...
Jeannesson
Denifl
Leukemans
Le mevel
1.NIBALI
2.GILBERT
3.VALVERDE
4.MARTIN
5.GERRANS
6.KWIATOWSKI
7.BETANCUR
8.SIUTSOU
9.WEENING
Happy with this lot.....Now just got to wait and watch them all break down or fall off again as with the rest of my Spring Classics picks....Bloody stupid game....I LOVE IT.....
If the Giro prices hadn't been set last week he'd be even more expensive than that!
I really don't fancy Gerrans' chances as much as everyone else seems to(cue him winning now!!)....I guess you can see what sort of race I'm expecting by this little lot.
J-Rod
His Nibs
Henao
Quintana
Samu
Cunego(last chance for the Little Prince)
Rolland
Betancur
Weening
Still 9 purists running-J-Rod,Weening,Betancur,Henao,Slagter,Gilbert,Cunego,Moser,Quintana.
I'll be glad to see the back of the one-dayers.....until Quebec at least.
Thanks for the Ray, I totally forgot about Betancur....Glad I had a transfer in the bag, Schleck gets the boot, so you better all get him in going on my last two years performances
Last chance to get him at that price....13.8 credits for Giro D'Italia(and I still reckon he'll get takers for purist and mountain stages-I expect him to top10 and be a contender for young jersey).
Couldn't squeeze Martin in in the end. My big-hitters are Nibs, Valverde, Gerrans, Gilbert and Henao. Really wavered on the last one, but his form is undeniable.
Tipping Gerrans for the 'w' though.
Gilbert, Valverde and Betancur are my definites. Good feeling about Dan Martin, too. Igor Anton looked strong mid-week, just to confuse us all.
I have NO Froomedog. But I want to know, who is NOT going to take a gamble with Schleck, such good value at 3, he's been my throw away rider every time he races, so I can afford better riders and on the off chance he finishes a race....
Again.....not with Betancur AND Weening at the same price!!
Quite agree! Had Schleck in a long time ago but not now. Glad I went Betancur rather than Weening today though!
I updated it earlier, there should be no more changes
To Froome, or not to Froome...
I'd got my team all picked, sorted yesterday, and was just waiting on final startlists before making my transfers, but now...
Gilbert, Quintana and Betancur are my only definitely-staying-ins. Sorely tempted by Nibali, not sure if he has one eye on the Giro now though (but does that even matter?).
Again:
I've been rash and made half my transfers already....just hope the likes of Froomie don't pull out before Sunday
Me too - going away for the weekend. One transfer left so if someone drops out it'll have to be a straight swap. Could be a rash move - I had 2 drop out before Fleche...
I think I may stick with team I have or Maybe Nibali for Gilbert
