Oh I say,
Maybe someone would be kind enough to check the following article:

When I got to "San Francisco power tool daylight bike robbery" there was a naughty advert underneath, more "Penny" than penny farthing.
Wondering if it's my machine that's been compromised?

I think they did, from memory back in the 70s/80s... haven't seen one for years though, our current milkman uses a standard van, albeit hybrid.

That's true enough. But doesn't address my point that the chainset you get as a replacement will not physically fit chainrings from the chain set...

Ads get delivered from all over the place often by third parties who are not necessarily stringent. One site I used was notorious for having ads with malware in them as the third party didn't bother too much so lots of people used an ad blocker.
If you subscribe, you can block ads with a clear conscience.
Oh, I appreciate you can't always stop this stuff 100%. I was just confused whether it was my own PC that was doing it, still not totally sure - but as the article got moved I think someone else spotted something.
I guess this "forum topic" can be deleted now?
