teamroadccTeam road.cc rideout Southampton
Fancy joining team road.cc members for a friendly rideout in the New Forest? On Sunday 19th July we’re getting together with Hargroves Cycles in Totton, Southampton, for a 40-mile loop taking in the best the area has to offer.
Our friends at Hargroves will be putting on refreshments and nibbles directly outside the store, so you can grab a quick snack and a chat with fellow cyclists before you tackle Hampshire’s steepest climb, the 27 per cent Blissford Hill, ride through Nomansland and take in the views from the highest point in the forest, and stop for a caffeine boost at The Foresters Arms.
The plan is to set off at 9am, with our very own Stu Kerton leading the ride, so if you’d like to join in, register here.

Tass is our production pedant, who boldly goes hunting for split infinitives, rogue apostrophes and other things up with which she will not put. She joined road.cc in 2015 but first began working on bike magazines way back in 1991 as production editor on Mountain Biking UK, then deputy editor of MTB Pro, before changing allegiance to road cycling as senior production editor on Cycling Plus. She's ridden off-road but much prefers on, hasn't done half the touring she'd like to, and loves paper maps.

The route is great, brownie points to iUpham!
It will be a great chance to show the world that the New Forest is actually a beautiful place to ride and not just full of NIMBY's!
I'm away at the weekend even though I petitioned for it to be in the Forest, doh! Have a fantastic time and make sure you all attempt to conquer The Wall that is Blissford Hill!
Excellent, it's a nice route, and the Hargroves cycle CC lot are a good bunch. It'd be rude not to.
