If you follow the cycle path in whalebone lane Chadwell heath. There are give way markings for cyclists to stop and let McDonald's traffic have priority.much easier to cycle in the road and let them wait for you.
What Ealing Council are basically saying is "we acknowledge that it is the cyclist's right of way, but we understand that some motorists are just shit and won't take any notice"
But this isn't a symptom of cyclists being prioritised, it is a symptom of motorists being treated like gods.
Stuff like this shouldn't be a problem. We all need to give and take a little to get along. It's just sad that before any form of implementation we know there will be real problems with motorists putting cyclists in danger. Because they've always gotten away with it.
