Col Collective team up with The Sufferfest for 90-minute training video

Let Mike Cotty guide you through some of the most famous climbs in the Dolomites

Mike Cotty and The Col Collective, whose stunning videos of the endurance cyclist taking on some of the most famous climbs in cycling while giving insights into how to ride them have proved a hit with road.cc readers, have teamed up with The Sufferfest for a 90-minute indoor training video, described as being ideal for base training.

Called To Get To The Other Side, it is described by The Sufferfest as “our first ‘not that hard’ (we can’t bring ourselves to say ‘easy’) video.”

The workout “takes you on a sweeping and dramatic tour through the Dolomite mountains of Northern Italy” – and also pops over the border into Austria for good measure.

It includes climbs made famous by the Giro d’Italia including the Passo Giau, Monte Grappa and the Tre Cime di Lavoredo, and even includes some local knowledge from Cotty and his team at the Col Collective.

The workout itself has been drawn up by Neal Henderson of Apex Coaching and combines a variety of cadences and efforts.

According to The Sufferfest, “Aside from a couple of brief leg-openers, you’ll spend the entire workout just below threshold, making it a perfect session for base building or tempo rides between your regular Sufferfest sessions.”

The full details of the workout are below but first here’s a short taster video - the complete, 90-minute version costs $13.99 on The Sufferfest website.
