If you're after some cycling tops or a new bargain bike, you've come to the right place!
Today is another DealCatcher Takeover from the folks at Chain Reaction Cycles, and they've got a couple of fantastic Vitus Bikes on offer as well as some great cycling tops.
Polaris and Mavic are the brands we're focusing on in today's DealCatcher, but there's plenty more on offer over in the Chain Reaction Cycles clearance sale.
"Whether you're planning that first step on the road bike ladder or looking for a capable, well-priced mudguard wearer to get you through the year-round commute, the Vitus Razor VR is worth more than a passing glance."
Those are the words of our long-time esteemed reviewer Stu Kerton.
He took the Vitus Razor VR Wiltshire's undulating roads back in July and by all accounts he loved his time with it.
The Razor VR would make a "great quick commuter," if you're looking to start commuting. Alternatively, the weather's about to get bad, so maybe you're thinking about a new winter trainer.
Beating this bike in terms of value will be tough.
That bargain commuter or winter trainer isn't restricted to 50% of the population either.
Chain Reaction Cycles has the women's Razor VRL on offer at the exact same discount.
Of course, you still get the same great package, just with a geometrically beneficial frame for the female form.
Mavic's Cosmic Pro Wind Jacket apparently offers the "ultimate combination of wind protection, light weight, high breathability and insulation."
That makes it sound like the perfect early winter jacket, and at a 67% discount the whole deal sounds a bit too good to be true.
Of course, there's a catch, but perhaps it's one you can live with. Our man Martin Cox said the Cosmic Pro Wind Jersey left him "feeling clammy." That's less of an issue with a jacket as it is with a jersey - what with the extra bit of room for air to move around, but it's something to bear in mind and perhaps justifies this enormous discount.
So, we're on a bit of doom and gloom, the-weather's-getting-worse theme here in today's DealCatcher. But given the history this country has with unreliable autumns, we reckon it's a safe bet you'll find use for these cool weather bits of kit before we hit mid-October.
This is Mavic's Cloud Jacket and it's "highly resistant" to wind and rain showers. Perfect for those gusty late September/early October rides.
Finally, Polaris's Venom Strike Jersey rounds off the day's deals.
The jersey is made using Polaris's Cooldry fast wicking fabric that offers excellent breathability and comfort.
Our man Liam Glen reviewed the mid-weight long sleeved Venom jersey a couple of years ago and had loads of great things to say about it.
So rest assured, you're in quality hands here.
Wait - I've got it! It's actually an accessible design - for cyclists without arms. Hey presto, you can be in the drops using only your feet!
Why leave yourself open to the problem in the first place? No windows, no draughty windows.
Yup - although as a more "distributed" / low cost kind of "good" (which the public purse pays towards) cycling will likely always be susceptible to...
I'm sure they'd ask Lime to do that too. Come and collect your bikes and my neighbour - they're in pieces.
Ireland seems to have a lot of problems with their cycle lanes… Almost as many as England
Fair point - I was restricting myself to pedal bikes. As I've never spent that kind of money on anything though (mortgage doesn't count), it's kind...
And finally: I wonder how many of the "more than 3,000" signatures on that petition are actually locals, who live or work there (and are not just...
Another book suggestion - I can highly recommend "Lost Summers and Half-Forgotten Afternoons: A Mint Sauce collection" - a beautifully presented...
If only!
I think you're missing an opportunity to pack even more tech into it - add accelerometers that can detect whether they're pedalling or stepping....
