Our next Bike LIVE demo day takes place at Dalby Forest, Yorkshire on Saturday 17th June 2017 and we’ve got some great bike brands lined up for you, including Whyte, Wilier, Canyon, Cube, Rose and Ribble.
If you fancy blasting around on a massive range of bikes from some of the largest brands then you need to get your ticket asap as our Early Bird discount offer ends on this coming Bank Holiday Monday, 29th May when the price will increase from £20 to £30. Go on, you know you want to - tickets are available here.
We’ve previously listed some of the shiny new bikes that Canyon will be bringing along to the demo event, and today we can tell you what bikes Giant will be offering up for test rides.
- Your complete guide to Giant’s 2017 road bikes
Giant will be bringing the following bikes:
Road
- Propel Advanced Pro 2
- Defy Advanced Pro 1
- TCR Advanced Pro 1
- Liv Avail Advanced Pro 1
- Liv Envie Advanced Pro 1
e-bike
- Dirt E+1
- Full E+1
- Road E+1
MTB
- Trance 1
- Anthem 1
- Reign 1
- XtC Advanced 29er 2
- Liv Pique 3
An impressive lineup indeed and one that'll be available in a range of sizes.
We’ve tested many of Giant’s latest road bikes over the years. The Defy endurance model is one of its most popular bikes and in 2015 was given a complete overhaul with an all-new carbon frame providing more comfort. It was the first time a big manufacturer had completely moved over to disc brakes. We like it a lot.
If riding fast into the wind flicks your switch then the Propel aero road bike is for you. It’s a fast and reactive aero bike packing the latest aero design in a package that is good value for money.
The TCR Advanced is the lightest bike in its range, ideal for racing, fast sportives and climbing mountains. The latest incarnation is lighter than ever, yet just as stiff and comfortable.

Liv
Liv is Giant’s women’s brand with a range of bikes in female specific geometry covering everything from racing to entry level road machines like the Avail 4 we reviewed a short time ago.
The Avail Advanced Pro 1 is an endurance based bike for those long rides where you want comfort but plenty of speed too. This model has a full carbon frameset and is equipped with Shimano Ultegra groupset with hydraulic disc brakes.
The Envie range is all about full on speed though with the Advanced Pro 1 being available on the day. An aero race machine with a long and low, aggressive position, it certainly looks quick without even moving.
e-bikes
In collaboration with our sister site ebiketips Giant will also be bringing along its latest range of e-bikes including the Dirt E+ 1, Full E+1 and Road E+1. The latter is a bike we’ve already ridden, and you can read about what it’s like to ride an e-bike up Austria’s toughest mountain right here.
MTB's
For those of you who like to leave the tarmac then Giant are working with our newly launched off-road.cc site to make a range of four MTB’s available.
The Anthem 1 is a fast trail bike with 110mm rear travel and 120mm up front though if you need more bounce then you could also try out the Reign 1 which comes with 160mm front and back.
Continuing with the trail theme Giant's Trance 1 will be available too with this model coming in at a cool £3449.
The XtC Advanced 29er 2 (above) will also be available for demo, an all new hardtail which can be converted from its standard 29er setup to 27.5+ wheel size and can also be run as a singlespeed if that's your thing.
For the women there will also be a Liv Pique 3 option as well, an alloy framed XC trail bike which comes with Shimano Deore 20 speed gearing.
