off-road.cc Goes Live! Check out our new sister site

New site delivers muddy mix of reviews, tech features, buying advice, videos and news

You might have noticed, but just in case you hadn’t,  road.cc has a new sister site and it's called, wait for it… off-road.cc

While road.cc aims to cover all sorts of cycling as our name suggests there is a gap on the cycling spectrum that we don’t - the bit where the road ends and the trail begins. That’s where off-road.cc takes over. There will be a bit of over-lap, both sites will cover gravel and adventure bikes but off-road takes you much further off the beaten path to the place where the tyres get fatter, bikes have suspension and there’s a whole smorgasbord of different wheel size and suspension travel options to choose from.

The team at off-road.cc aim to make all that accessible especially to those new to the off-road scene or coming back to it after a few years away.

You’ll find useful buying advice:

Buying your first mountain bike: the complete guide

Seven mountain bikes under £600

Informed tech features - this one on disc brakes should interest any cyclist

Talking disc brake tech with SRAM

and useful buyers guides

The best apps for mountain bikers

And loads more - including the chance to win a Trek Fuel EX worth £2,200 + £270 worth of Bontrager goodies to go with it.

You can find off-road.cc at www.off-road.cc and follow them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/offroad.cc/ or Twitter https://twitter.com/off_roadcc

road.cc's founder and first editor, nowadays to be found riding a spreadsheet. Tony's journey in cycling media started in 1997 as production editor and then deputy editor of Total Bike, acting editor of Total Mountain Bike and then seven years as editor of Cycling Plus. He launched his first cycling website - the Cycling Plus Forum at the turn of the century. In 2006 he left C+ to head up the launch team for Bike Radar which he edited until 2008, when he co-launched the multi-award winning road.cc - finally handing on the reins in 2021 to Jack Sexty. His favourite ride is his ‘commute’ - which he does most days inc weekends and he’s been cycle-commuting since 1994. His favourite bikes are titanium and have disc brakes, though he'd like to own a carbon bike one day.

There doesn't seem to be any comments yet, it's the sometimes fine level of debate, and the sheer bloody mindedness that keeps me coming back to the road.cc site
