You may have noticed that every week we preview/brag about some of the coolest-looking kit, bikes and tech we’ve been out testing prior to the reviews being published… for this special festive edition though, we’re giving you the chance to show us some of the best, most interesting or downright silliest bike-related things you’ve got for Christmas, and our five favourites will each win a pair of road.cc socks!

Whether it’s destined to become your new favourite toy, or you were forced to make a grimacing smile before turning your thoughts to ebaying the undesirable gift before teatime, send us a photo (preferably with a bit of description and backstory if possible) and if it makes our list we’ll send you a pair of highly desirable road.cc cycling socks.
You can send us your submissions in a number of ways: in the comments section underneath this article, via our Facebook or Twitter pages or by emailing info [at] road.cc. We’ll be judging over Christmas and Boxing day (deadline for entries is 10pm on December 26th), and the article will appear on the 27th. If you’re a winner you will receive a message of congratulations and a request for a delivery address, and we’ll post the prizes in January when our NYE hangovers have settled - you can’t say fairer than that.
Here’s an example to start us off, our very own Tass with her highly-prized bike pizza cutter she was thrilled to receive last Christmas. Best of luck, and Merry Christmas to all!
Jack has been writing about cycling and multisport for over a decade, arriving at road.cc via 220 Triathlon Magazine in 2017. He worked across all areas of the website including tech, news and video, and also contributed to eBikeTips before being named Editor of road.cc in 2021 (much to his surprise). Jack has been hooked on cycling since his student days, and currently has a Trek 1.2 for winter riding, a beloved Bickerton folding bike for getting around town and an extra beloved custom Ridley Helium SLX for fantasising about going fast in his stable. Jack has never won a bike race, but does have a master's degree in print journalism and two Guinness World Records for pogo sticking (it's a long story).

After years of novelty garbage, I get this beauty from the in-laws. Commissioned by them, made by another relative and much adored by this roadie.

"Dark Side of the Worlds" T-Shirt - times two. One from my parents, the other from the out-laws, both the wrong size! Need to tactfully ask for receipts and exchange one, refund the other. I need some road.cc socks to cheer me up
