We asked, you answered: hundreds of you wrote in to give your two ha'porth on what you consider to be the best things in cycling over the past year. And while we couldn't shoehorn everything in (it would have been a very ungainly form!), we've taken the most popular from each category and we now present them to you: it's time to vote for your favourites, and in a week's time we'll know what's what. Voting will close at 11:59pm on Sunday 18 February.

It's one reader one vote from now on in, so that means you need to be registered and logged in to make your selections. Bike of the year

Which bike is best? There's a lot of different sorts of bike here, but only one will take the coveted reader's choice gong. Here are the bikes that came out on top in the nomination process. Which bike does it for you?
