100% launch the Glendale 'vintage inspired' performance sunglasses

Performance-orientated but vintage inspired according to 100%, the Glendale shades are perfect for cycling or hanging out with your gas-guzzling American muscle car in Peter's case here.....

100% have launched the Glendale sunglasses, offering eyewear technology that make them performance-orientated, but also inspired by Peter Sagan's apparent love of vintage Americana.

Review: 100% Speedcraft SL

They have the signature massive lenses that 100% are becoming renowned for, which they say offers an unobstructed view. They're made out of lightweight polycarbonate with 100% UV protection, and the frame is the 100% TR90 that is shatterproof and Italian-made.

100% sagan 3

Peter looking all suave as usual, even in sunnies bigger than his head

100% say the idea for the Glendale was borne out of Peter Sagan's love of vintage Americana and muscle cars, creating 'timeless styling' and yet no compromise on performance.

If that all sounds appealing then the Glendales are available to buy now for £164.99, and for the money you get a clear replacement lens, vintage style hard case, extra nose pieces to customise your fit and a microfiber cleaning pouch. Head over to the 100% website for more info.

Jack has been hooked on cycling since his student days, and currently has a Trek 1.2 for winter riding, a beloved Bickerton folding bike for getting around town and an extra beloved custom Ridley Helium SLX for fantasising about going fast in his stable. Jack has never won a bike race, but does have a master's degree in print journalism and two Guinness World Records for pogo sticking (it's a long story).

Nothing new here. Check out some retro photos of Greg Lemond and Phil Anderson with their Oakleys.

An "unobstructed view" is all well and good, but these look completely ridiculous unless you've got a helmet on your head (imo).
