1. Look launch their first e-bike, the e-765 Optimum All Road

Look are the latest to present an e-bike that doesn't really look much like an e-bike, with the launch of the e-765 Optimum. It's their first e-bike of any genre, and the assistance is courtesy of Fazua's Evation system. The geometry is based on Look's existing motor-less 765 Optimum Disc All Road.

2. Memorial cycle route for 13-year-old boy killed while cycling blocked by local landowner

Adam Mugridge was just 13 years old when he died after falling off his bike into the path of a lorry, while cycling to school in Market Harborough in September 2006. The family however, now face renewed opposition as one of the local landowners, Peter Thomas, who owns part of the land the path would cross, has appealed against the decision.

3. London Bridge to subsidise cargo bikes to show that switching from vans reduces costs and journey times

The London Bridge Business Improvement District (BID), known as Team London Bridge, is to offer firms in the area a subsidy to encourage them to use cargo bikes for deliveries instead of motor vehicles.

Welcome To Yorkshire is set to come under closer scrutiny from the councils that part-fund the tourism and inward investment agency following the departure last month of chief executive Sir Gary Verity amid allegations he had misclaimed £40,000 in expenses - raising the prospect of a knock-on effect on the high-profile cycling events the region hosts.

6. Confusion at Dwars door Vlaanderen as men’s race has to be neutralised

There was confusion at the Belgian semi-classic the Dwars door Vlanderen as the men’s race had to be neutralised twice. The first was because a crash had caused a delay in the women’s race ahead,  won by Trek Segafredo’s Ellen van Dijk, the second due to the break being left behind the peloton when racing resumed. But even once the race had been halted again to allow the break's 2 minute 15 seconds advantage to be restored, it turned out that one of the riders in the escape group had missed out on the resumption.

8. Geraint Thomas to feature in hour-long BBC documentary

Tour de France champion Geraint Thomas is to feature in a behind-the-scenes documentary from BBC Cymru Wales and BBC Two. The programme, to be called Geraint Thomas: Easy Rider, will follow the Team Sky star in the opening months of the season, including training in France and Tenerife, as he prepares to defend the yellow jersey in July.

9. Cyclist found riding on the M25 – against the flow of traffic

Police officers gave a cyclist “words of advice” after escorting him off the M25 on Sunday, where he had been riding on the hard shoulder into the face of oncoming traffic. A CCTV image tweeted by Highways England showed the rider pedalling towards some cones and a road sign which had been placed on the hard shoulder.

10. Video: Cyclist criticises council for not fixing huge crack in road which caused him to crash (video contains swearing and an enormous marked crack in the road)

A road.cc reader who sustained injuries including a fractured arm when he crashed at night due to a huge crack in the road has criticised his local council, saying that markings around the defect showed that they were aware of it and should have taken steps to warn road users of the hazard.
