Sportive promotor UK Cycling Events has announced a new series of rides starting this autumn sponsored by italian road bike manufacturer, Wilier. The rides start in October with the Wilier New Forest Sportive.
According to Cycling Events the New Forest sportive will be the first in a comprehensive program of rides planned for this year and next that will cater for all ages and abilities and serve as an exciting addition to the cycling calendar.
The Wilier New Forest Sportive takes place on October 11 and facilities will include maintenance support courtesy of Cycle Surgery plus top quality sports nutrition from three fully stocked feed stations supplied by High5. There's a choice of 100, 70, and 40 mile routes through "quiet leafy lanes" plus some "challenging" hills… 25 per cent sounds challenging enough?
Online entry is now open and will save you £3 over the pay on the day price, children under 16 accompanied by a paying adult go free.
Ross Patterson from Wilier said: “We are very excited in joining and supporting UK Cycling Events. They are hitting all the right notes, appealing to a broad range of cyclist – us included. They promise to provide an enjoyable and if you wish, challenging experience with seamless organisation.”
Commenting on the partnership with Wilier, Martin Barden said: “Our aim is to run the UK’s best and most rider friendly cycling events. Our program will challenge all levels of cyclists and a consistent high quality of organisation will ensure they are the ‘must ride’ events of the year. To have Wilier supporting us will underpin our ethos of quality.”
