Raleigh launch 2013 range at Cycle Show

Raleigh will unveil their 2013 range at this week’s Cycle Show at Birmingham NEC. You’ll have the chance to test ride a selection of 2013 bikes, including SP, Revenio and Capri road bikes, on the demo track.

Racing fans will also have the chance to see Raleigh's professional racing team in action at the show. Graham Briggs, Liam Holohan, Tobyn Horton, Jeroen Janssen, Evan Oliphant and Matthew Holmes will be competing on their Raleigh Militis race bikes for Raleigh-GAC in Saturday’s evening criterium.

Graham Briggs will also be taking part in a Q&A session on the main stage with Eurosport commentator David Harmon at 12.45pm each day.

Raleigh will be giving away prizes too – £600 worth of Raleigh and Diamondback bikes, over £350 of parts and accessories, and a Diamondback BMX frame. Register your details at www.raleigh.co.uk/nec to be in with a chance of winning.

Raleigh’s Product Manager, Terry Blackwood said, “It’s no easy task to improve on 125 years of history and heritage but our motto this year has been ‘Because it's a Raleigh’. We are taking Raleigh back to where it belongs with innovative and reliable products that perform day in, day out.

“Early indications tell us we've got that 'wow factor' back so we're looking forward to getting these bikes in front of people at the NEC.”

On the performance side of things, the Miltis is the centrepiece road bike, built around an 800g frame - which is light by any standards. There are three other carbon bikes in the range including the SP Race, pictured above, whch is aimed at sportive riders and aspiring racers. The entry level carbon road bike is the SP Elite. With a Shimano Sora groupset, it retails at £1,100.

The Raleigh range covers endurance road bikes like the Revenio and women's Capri, and classic road bikes like the Gran Sport (above), plus mountain bikes, lifestyle bikes, kids' bikes, electric bikes... you name it.
