Cinelli reveals Neos seatpost with new clamp design

Cinelli revamps seatpost with new one-bolt design

Cinelli have released final photos of their brand new Neos seatpost, which uses a brand new clamp design.

The one-bolt seatpost uses a 4-Elements clamp design that is claimed to distribute pressure evenly along the rails to reduce stress on this component. The clamping system acts simultaneously on the four elements of the clamp and reduces the torque required to secure the saddle firmly in place. It also allows for much easier adjustments.

This new clamp design is offered in two versions, the carbon fibre Neos and the aluminium Dinamo. The Neos uses a 3D forged 7050 alloy body reinforced with hi-mod carbon fibre, and the clamp parts are forged 6061 T6 aluminium. Weight is a claimed 250g for the 27.2mm version, with a 350mm length. It’ll be offered in 31.6mm too and the clamp provides 15mm offset.

No word on pricing or availability yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

It looks like a seat post - am I missing something?

Also looks similar to the 3t palladio, albeit without the spines.

I bet it's just as fiddly as all the rest to change your damn saddle. I'll be more excited when someone develops a clamp that can be used with just 2 hands.

Spcialized Pave Clamp? Well it's a single bolt barrel design that's trying to do much the same thing, but it doesn't look that similar to me

The Madone in the office has Trek's latest single bolt clamp… nope doesn't look like the Cinelli either - basically the two outer clmping bits are a different shape

Looks very similar to Ritchey's existing design in their stubby / seat mast caps for ISP frames.
