i'll also add here- this woman i bet has no idea how the vehicle she is driving works, nor how complicated and time consuming it is to come up with the idea to get it to move along. A bicycle is a crankshaft, with two leggy pistons moving it, some gears take that power from the drive train and supply it to the rear wheel, providing forward motion. Simple ish. The car however. The starter motor is only activated once the CDI is turned on by the key in the igntion barrel. The battery storing energy, which is only there because of the alternator and electrical current, which it gets from the engine spinning over, but is converted to DC not AC by the regulator/ rectifier, sends power to a solenoid switch- that allows this stored energy to be sent down to the starter motor and to ignition coils[ if its a petrol engine]. The cam chain, tensioned normally by a mechanicaly sprung device, or the cambelt, tensioned with a pulley, allows the starter motor to spin the crank, which spins the pistons up into the bores, just tenths of milimetres before the crowns hit the valves. Those valves open and shut many thousands of times a minute once the engine begins. Fuel injectors or carbs spray tiny amounts of fuel, at a rough ratio of 14 to one, into the cylinders. The spark plugs ignite in each cylinder at exactly the right moment for combustion to occur, sending the pistons shooting back down into the bores, rotating the crankshaft. The oil pump starts sending lubricating oil around the engine oil galleries, to enable moving metallic parts to rub against eachother. The water pump begins to spin, but the thermostat is shut. The engine warms up as it rotates the crank, valves opening and shutting as anccient dinosaurs are exploded in a very tightly sealed chamber. The driver pushed a pedal to allow more fuel and air into the chambers, which increases the revolutions the engine can do. The driver pushes a clutch pedal, which separates the pressure plate from the friction and steel plates, enabling the engine to gradually [slip] engine torque to the input shaft of the gearbox. That is then sent via the gears themselves, onto the out put shaft. The output shaft sends the spinning motion onto the drive shaft, or down the prop to the rear wheels. Those wheels rotate. The whole thing is hideously complex and most people who operate such machinery have no clue how it actually works. Whereas the modern bicycle, you push down, turn the crank, you go forwards. Such a simple design is also the most energy effecient. But im just an idiot cyclist, so what do i know about cars.

How is this any different to me writing something like ‘When I’m 90 I’m going out in my car to run down and kill Tory politicians.’ on any chosen corrupt social media network?  They all chose to be Tory politicians, just like we choose to use a bike whenever we want.  I’d be reported to the police and charged, ect.   

This is acceptable now is it?  It would be bigger news, if it was said about anything else but because its just cyclists it gets dismissed, laughed at, ignored or passed off as clickbait.

I used to commute 100 miles a week by bike and now feel its no longer feel safe to do so.  I tried picking it up again at the start of lockdown thinking it would be perfect conditions for peaceful quiet roads.  The very first day of minimal traffic, I get run off the road by some teenager in a Nissan Skyline.   Have tried a few times since but have definitely noticed a worsening of attitude on the roads recently, as if it couldn’t get any worse.  Now I’m one extra unnecessary car on the road every day and feel pretty sick of having given up.

Ah yes was she the chubby sidekick of that snobby tart? Riding a bike would probably do her the world of good and in which universe does she think she is going to make it to 90.

If she's ever in an accident involving a person on a bike this is going to come back to haunt her.

She's a vocal supporter of and active participant in fox hunting. Her daughter was pictured with a bloodied face and a dead duck they'd shot.
I think the authorities ought to confiscate her gun if she's going round making death threats.

car drivers wont go single file either. Its very irritating when you have to ride at 10 mph in a 60 zone for miles because of all the selfish bastards sitting side by side and sitting in queues.  Half of them dont even have passengers in their seats! theyre just wide to be annoying. She hates cyclists because she has a primitive brain. Its proven that cyclists and those who are ok with cyclists being on the road are more intelligent. Lower intelligence people dont like cyclists because they see them as an obstacle. Higher intelligence people recognise the good things about cycling and plan their overtake accordingly.

She may say she hates cycling the most, but I bet she hates being an irrelevant has-been who nobody has heard of since the early 2000s, and even then only as "the other one" from "Trinny and the other one", even more.

Cycling gives me so much. Longer life, better health, more money, nicer public spaces, and a cleaner conscience. Knowing it infuriates people like her is just the icing on the cake.

We have to get a grip here! It is not necessary to pay attention to what people like these 2 tedious women say: for them, any publicity is better than no publicity. They will say anything to be noticed. Also, we don't have to go out to bat in favour of militant cyclists who insist on riding 2 abreast because they think they're entitled to. However, we DO have to be militant about close passing, illegal unbroken white line crossing and illegal red light crashing. I didn't say 'illegal close passing' because the F***h, at least in Lancashire where they have never prosecuted for it, have made any passing where the cyclist isn't dead or seriously injured legal as far as they are concerned.

From the look of her, we won't have long to wait to see if she fulfills her promise. 

Lets rephrase her comment a little bit just to make a point:

"Oh I hate ******s,” replied Constantine. “I won’t support BLM. No, I fucking hate blacks. My husband is a ******* and if I see him on the road on his bicycle, I’m going to shoot him"

Now see how offensive her comment REALLY IS? If she said what she said about black people everyone would be going apeshit and rightfully so. She said it about cyclists so it doesn't really matter. Cyclists are just "not equal" in the eyes of the law or the general population. I'd happily join some protesting about this.
