It's most definitely an understated jersey that doesn't lack in the style department. Looks are, of course, a very subjective matter, but this jersey seems to be universally well received. If you're put off by the more race and performance orientated jerseys, this one will work for you. It's a thumbs up all round then.
For the construction of the jersey, Rivelo has used a combination of Xtra Lite and Sport Energy Lycra. It's soft next to the skin, with a good amount of stretch that really enhances the fit, and, along with smartly placed stretchy mesh panels, it really is spot on. It's a flattering jersey too, which is no bad thing.
The fabric has a UPF 50+ treatment to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Worn in the heat (the sun'll be back one day...), the jersey proves to be adequately breathable. It copes well with a large amount of sweat when you're toiling up a long hill, and the full-length zip provides plenty of ventilation when you need it most.
For carrying food and spares, you get four pockets around the back, three regular cargo pockets and a smaller, zipped pocket on the side. A couple of reflective tabs provide a bit of reassurance if riding at dawn or dusk.
The Pembridge jersey is a stylish alternative to the usual choices, it's thoughtfully designed and the details are carefully considered. The fit and shape are excellent too. Which just leaves the price. At £90 it's right in the Huez, PedAL ED and Cafe du Cycliste market of similarly stylish jerseys underpinned by technical fabrics and design, so it's got some competition. A bit more affordable is Rivelo's Kirkstone jersey, if price is a concern.

A really nicely designed jersey with good functionality, and the looks give it an edge over many cycling jerseys. It's a competitive market these days, though.
