Hunt Bike Wheels open search for six cyclists to join its development team

Have you ever dreamed of helping a company to develop its next product? Sussex-based Hunt Bike Wheels is looking to recruit six product testers to help it design and develop the next generation of wheels in its range.

The company launched in 2015 but came to prominence with the wide profiled tubeless-ready wheelset it developed in partnership with Mason Cycles. It has since gone on to launch several wheelsets that tap into the increasingly popular trends for wider rims and tubeless compatibility and added carbon fibre rims to the mix.

And there is much more in the pipeline, but it wants to get everyday normal riders involved in the development. Hunt understands that its is developing wheels for regular cyclists, not professional racers, so it wants to bring some onboard to get direct feedback to help make its products better. Hunt wants to develop fast, light and reliable wheels, and it wants your help.

“We found that, whilst we are all riders and have loads of product and development ideas, we have also had some amazing feedback and ideas from our customers. This feedback has already been turned into new products,” says company founder Tom Marchment.

“Whilst the request for even lighter faster wheels is no surprise hence the new Aero Light Disc wheels, suggestions like the higher spoke count and wider rim for Gravel/off road riding, but keeping the low weight, lead to the development of the 4Season Gravel Disc. We already have several more models in testing based on customer feedback. We are incredibly lucky as a wheel company to have such direct links with our customers and we want to strengthen those so we can improve this process further.”

The Hunt OpenDev Team is open to riders of all abilities from anywhere in the world. The six successful applicants, as well as joining this small and exclusive team, will also receive a pair of Hunt wheels, a Giro Synthe helmet and a Hunt team outfit. All the company asks in return is that you ride the wheels and provide ideas and feedback on what could help to improve the product or the customer service experience of dealing with Hunt.
