Lezyne is updating existing GPS devices and expanding its collection for the next model year.
Lezyne announced that it was entering the GPS market early last year, with the Mini GPS, the Power GPS, and the Super GPS.
Things have now changed. The Mini GPS (£94.99) stays in the range, as does the Super GPS (£199.99 with heart rate and speed/cadence loaded, £129.99 without), but they are joined by:
• Macro GPS (£164.99 with heart rate and speed/cadence loaded, £94.99 without)
• Micro GPS (£189.99 with heart rate and speed/cadence loaded, £119.99 without)
• Micro Color GPS (£209.99 with HRSC loaded, £139.99 without)
It looks like the Power GPS is no more.
“The new Micro and Micro Color GPS computers are perfect for the cyclist who is a data-loving minimalist,” says Lezyne. “The enhanced Super GPS takes all of the features of the aforementioned Micro computers and packs them into a larger device with longer battery life. All three of these models allow simultaneous ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart connections that make using all of your accessories easy.
“The Macro GPS and Mini GPS allow only for Bluetooth Smart connections, but share the same housing as the Super and Micro respectively.
“All of our devices connect to the Lezyne GPS Ally app which allows for on-the-fly email, text and phone call notifications. Strava Live Segments have also been fully integrated into each computer, as well as Lezyne Track: a live tracking that displays your current location and metrics to specified email recipients. When your ride is over, make sure to record and analyse essential training data on the GPS Root website.”
Lezyne is also offering its own Flow heart rate monitor and Flow cadence/speed sensor, plus two new GPS watches. These are the Micro and the Micro C, similar to the GPS computers but in forms you can wear on your wrist, aimed at multisports athletes. Lezyne says that an integrated accelerometer calculates steps in the lifestyle mode, enhances GPS tracking and improves battery runtime. You can expect up to 14 hours in GPS mode, and over 100 hours out of GPS mode.
